FAQ: Parents

DAILY DETAILS

What you need to know for each day.

ATTIRE

Have your child wear clothes and shoes appropriate for active play—sitting on the floor, crawling, running, and jumping—because the children will be moving around in the classroom and during their Recreation Time activities. (Flip-flops and skirts don’t work very well.) Please leave purses, candy, and toys at home.

ARRIVAL

Doors will open at 8:50 A.M. Please bring your child to the fellowship hall each day and sign him or her in; no parking lot drop-offs will be permitted. You are welcome to stay for Morning Prayer service.

DISMISSAL

The children will be dismissed at 1 P.M. at the conclusion of the Afternoon Prayer service in the church, which you are also welcome to attend. They will return to the fellowship hall, where you, or someone designated in writing by you, will pick them up and sign them out. Children will not be allowed to leave with anyone other than you unless you have made this clear in writing!

MISSIONS MOMENT

As a way to encourage almsgiving and charity, and to assist in the growth of the Orthodox Church around the world, a collection for missions will be taken after morning prayers each day. We encourage children to bring a donation as they are able. During each Daily Assembly, the children will learn about the mission for the week.

DIVINE LITURGY

We will have Divine Liturgy on Friday. Please have your child prepare for Liturgy as you would normally. You are welcome to attend the service if you are able. The day will begin as normal at 8:50 AM in the fellowship hall, and Liturgy will begin at 9:30 AM.

LUNCH

Lunch will be served at 11:10 AM each day. Lunch is provided with the program; you will not need to pack your child a lunch. Please inform the Program Director if your child has any food allergies.
